On November 10th, 2011 Astronergy (Hangzhou, China) announced that it has completed a 20 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Qinghai Province, China.
The Golmud PV plant utilizes Astronergy PV modules, with all other key components manufactured by Astronergy parent company CHINT Group Corporation (Wenzhou, China).
"Providing total solutions is Astronergy's core competence, and the emerging domestic market will make us commit to engaging in the downstream area," commented Astronergy Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Alan Yuan.
"We look forward to further cooperation with international strategic partners in building these projects."
Astronergy undertakes 50 MW of PV projects
Astronergy states that it has undertaken 50 MW of PV projects in China since 2009, and credits its ability to provide a total solution service and engineering, procurement and construction expertise with its ability to win large projects.
The company notes that recent passage of China's feed-in tariff has caused utility-scale PV projects to boom in the nation, and Astronergy CEO Dr. Liyou Yang states that he expects the nation's total installed capacity to reach 2 GW in 2011.
