Solar FlexRack Mounting Solution Installed in Exyte Energy (formerly M+W Energy) Landfill Solar Project in Massachusetts

Youngstown, OH, August 27th, 2018 – Solar FlexRack™, a division of Northern States Metals and an innovative leader in photovoltaic mounting and solar tracker solutions, announced that Exyte Energy (formerly M+W Energy, Inc.), one of America’s largest providers of EPC and O&M services for solar photovoltaic systems, has selected and installed their mounting technology in a landfill solar project in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The dedication of local utilities, Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company and Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations to work collaboratively with stakeholders ensured the 3.8 MW solar project was successfully completed. Solar FlexRack’s Series B (ballasted) Pre-Cast solar mounting technology was selected for its unique design, meeting the stringent requirements of the highly regulated landfill segment of large-scale solar installations.

Landfills converted to solar generally do not allow penetration in the site’s land surface, requiring that mounting and foundation technology be flexible, reliable, and lighter to meet all site regulations. Solar FlexRack Series B Pre-Cast is designed with a front-rear post mounting technology that effectively transfers loads into the concrete block and allows for reductions in ballast thickness. Lighter ballasts and greater flexibility for array profiles onsite translates to reduced costs. Series B Pre-Cast solar mounting foundations have less components, making them faster and easier to install. It is the perfect product for landfill projects converting to solar power generation plants.

“This solar project overcame initial delays and both utilities did a commendable job supporting its success and making it a particularly significant and memorable project to be a part of,” said Nathaniel Malo, Director of Business Development, M+W Energy, Inc. “I also want to thank Solar FlexRack for working hard to meet short deadlines and doing what they always do, which is consistently deliver reliability in their products and work.”

“M+W are the leaders in the industry and their commitment to customer satisfaction is impressive. We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with a company that understands the complexities of landfill projects and has the relationships to bring in the right people to get the job done,” said Steve Daniel, Executive Vice President, Solar FlexRack.

Clean Footprint to Host Webinar Regarding Solar for Massachusetts Businesses

Attendees will learn how rule changes make going solar in Massachusetts an affordable and easy way for businesses to stabilize energy costs

Cape Canaveral, Fl., August 12th, 2014 – Representatives from Clean Footprint, Central Florida’s leading solar development and finance company will be hosting a webinar entitled, ‘Why Massachusetts Businesses are Rushing to Go Solar’. The webinar, set for Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 from 2:00 until 2:30 EST, will focus on:
 • Why now is the best time to go solar?
• The current opportunity for businesses.
• What makes Massachusetts one of best states for solar.
• How Massachusetts current utility bill will be affected.
• The exact next steps to go solar.

“The State of Massachusetts electricity rates have not only increased over the past 30 years, these rates are higher than the national average,” said Wes Morrison, Clean Footprint’s Director of Sales and Marketing and Host of the webinar. “For the first time in history, we can now stabilize rates and lock in savings for businesses.”

Massachusetts is very dependent on natural gas; however, natural gas has been the most volatile energy source on the market. Recent changes in legislation in the State of Massachusetts make it possible to get back to a fixed price and a sustainable source of energy. The affordable and eco-friendly solution is solar.

“Even if you’re already considered solar for your business,” said John Kluwin, Managing Partner of Clean Footprint, “now is the time to look again! The rules have changed and it’s good news.”

Massachusetts Solar Bill and the National Grid

Clean Footprint published an excellent article yesterday regarding the National Grid and Massachusetts Solar Bill.  If you're company is in Massachusetts, you should read this article and learn about what's going on in the State!

For instance, did you know:
"A company needs only 25% of its roof covered in solar to completely offset its electric bill. It can now install the other 75% of solar and sell that electricity to another account holder in National Grid territory that may not have enough roof space to offset its entire bill. Make sense? Don’t wait to see how much you can save by going solar! Get a solar quote now!

Clean Footprint is having a FREE Webinar on Tuesday, August 19th from 2:00 - 2:30pm EST.  If you want to learn "Why Massachusetts Businesses are Rushing to go Solar" and why you should too.
