Jay Shafer of Tumbleweed Tiny Houses to Present at The Solar Institute's Earth Day Celebration

Jay Shafer, founder of the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company will hold tours and presentations at the annual Solar Living Institute Earth Day Celebration in Hopland, CA on Saturday, April 21, 11:AM to 5:00 PM .

Shafer will be on hand to offer public tours of the Tumbleweed Tiny House that is in permanent residence at the Solar Living Center. The tiny house is just 98 square feet and represents the future of sustainable living. Built with green materials and respect for energy conservation, this Tumbleweed Tiny House has a thoughtful architectural design that is inspiring a growing number of people to downsize their possessions while up-sizing the quality of their lives.

The typical American house is no longer a viable option for our cities and towns. According to Shafer, "A typical Tumbleweed Tiny House produces only 4 tons of greenhouse gases during a typical Minnesota winter compared to the average American home that emits 18 tons per year."
