A solar array will be installed at the Public Works garage after a Wednesday night discussion at the Board of Supervisors’ meeting.
Public Works Director David Shaffer showed that the solar array could be placed about 300 feet behind the township building in Eagleville Park. Fill would be required to level that area of the park to support the array.
Shaffer said the arrray could also be placed at the Public Works garage on the roofs of the buildings with a kiosk placed at Eskie Park near the pavilion. Power would be used at the garage and any excess electric power would be sold back to Peco Energy.
