Build Group Breaks Ground on Solar Carport Project at Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida

Build Group, Inc. (www.buildgc.com) today announced that the company has broken ground a 1.6 MW solar support canopy project for long time client REC Solar, Inc. at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida. The project includes installation of 167 units of Solumbria, Build Group's patent pending system that adjusts to fit any photovoltaic panel regardless of manufacturer.

Build Group will keep the busy parking lots open throughout installation by sequencing the work to accommodate automobile and pedestrian traffic. The implementation team will post prominent signs and perform careful preplanning of logistics to ensure the safety of hospital staff, patients and visitors during installation.

The project incorporates 123,194 square feet of elevated structure and is designed to withstand winds of 135 miles per hour. The installation will utilize REC 225 watt photovoltaic panels.
